UMI's main goal during its development was to create a new blockchain with instant transactions, zero fees and real-world applications.

UMI provides almost instant transactions anywhere in the world 24/7 through intelligent optimization and Proof-of-Authority master nodes. The network is well suited for both private and legal sectors, covering all areas of human activity. Ideal for all types of transactions, from micropayments to large transfers.

The UMI network is 10,000 times faster than the Bitcoin network. It processes up to 65,535 transactions per 1 second and outperforms the ultra-fast VISA and MasterCard payment systems.

UMI is the first blockchain network in the world to prove such high throughput in practice on the main network.

No commissions are charged for transactions on the UMI network at all. Every transfer is commission-free, no matter to whom, where and how many coins are sent. This result is achieved thanks to the same Proof-of-Authority technology and a unique model of protection against DDoS attacks.

Transfers in the UMI network will always be commission-free. This is embedded in the open source code.
