Complete decentralization
Unlike many other coins that are managed by specific companies, UMI is decentralized - just like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and other independent coins. The network has no “center” that can be affected in any negative way.
In simple words: no one can block UMI in any way, because there is nothing to block.
Instead of servers and physical centers, the network uses nodes distributed all over the planet:
The UMI network runs a number of master nodes and many validator nodes.
The nodes are evenly distributed around the world.
The location information of the master nodes is encrypted and not publicized anywhere. The open source code contains data only about the existence of nodes, but not about their location.
The nodes are not connected to each other: they are located on different devices, work with different ISPs, and so on.
If one or more nodes stop working for some reason (for example, a device fails), it will not affect the network operation. Other nodes will ensure proper functioning, and new nodes will be created instead of the failed ones.
The UMI network is a blockchain ecosystem that is fully resistant to censorship and protected from pressure from competitors, fraudsters and governments. Moreover, the UMI development team is as anonymous as Satoshi Nakamoto, the creator of the Bitcoin network. This means that no one has the ability to negatively influence the developers.
